Dost Split Ease Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Topi Lab ("we") handles information when you use Dost Split Ease.

Information You Enter

The app stores expense descriptions, amounts, dates, group names, member names, settlement status, notes, archives, and currency preferences. These records are stored locally on your device so the app can work offline.

Google Sign-In and Drive Backup

Google sign-in is optional. If you sign in, Firebase Authentication processes your Google account identifier, email address, display name, and profile image URL to identify your app account. If you enable backup, the app stores an application data file in your private Google Drive app-data folder. The backup is not placed in your normal Drive files and is used only to back up and restore your Dost Split Ease records.

Advertising

The free app uses Google AdMob to show a banner advertisement. Depending on your region and consent choices, Google may process approximate location derived from IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, device identifiers, and advertising identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Where required, the app asks for consent and provides an Ad Privacy Choices control.

Exports and Sharing

When you export or share an Excel workbook, the file is created only after your action. Android then lets you choose the destination app or person. We do not control the recipient or service you choose.

Sharing and Sale

We do not sell your expense records. Information is handled by Google services only as needed for optional authentication, private Drive backup, advertising, analytics, security, and fraud prevention, or when required by law.

Retention and Deletion

Local records remain until you clear them, delete your app account, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Drive backup remains until you use the in-app account deletion control or submit a deletion request. In the app, open Settings > Dost Account > Delete Account & Cloud Backup. This deletes the Firebase app account, private Drive backup, and local app records. It does not delete your Google account.

Security

Network requests use encrypted HTTPS connections. No storage or transmission method is guaranteed to be completely secure, so keep your device and Google account protected.

Children

Dost Split Ease is a general expense utility and is not specifically designed for children. Users must meet the minimum age required to manage a Google account in their country or use the app only with appropriate guardian supervision.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
